What Is It?


QR codes (Quick Response codes) are 2 dimensional barcodes (matrix barcodes) that can be read by dedicated QR barcode readers, cameras on smartphones and webcams that have QR reader software installed. The code consists of black modules arranged in a square pattern on a white background. The information encoded may be text, the url for a website, or other data. The codes are easily generated by software that is free to download or by utilizing online generators. An example of an online generator is the kaywa code generator: http://qrcode.kaywa.com/ .
